Preparing for Your Shoot
Countdown to our shoot! To help everything run smoothly and ensure you look your best on camera, please review the checklist below before your shoot.
Reach out with any questions or support with styling and prep.
Clothing & Styling
☐ Make sure all clothing is clean, wrinkle-free, and lint-free
☐ Bring 2–4 outfit options (unless otherwise discussed)
☐ Consider bringing one outfit that feels comfortable and familiar, and one that feels more expressive or adventurous. This often creates a stronger variety of images.
☐ Try on all outfits before the shoot to ensure they fit comfortably and as expected
☐ Avoid busy patterns, small checks, tight stripes, and large logos unless they are intentionally part of your look
☐ Bring shoes that coordinate with each outfit
☐ For white dresses, bottoms or sheer clothing or bring nude and undergarments that work with multiple outfit options.
☐ Bring any accessories or jewelry you'd like photographed
Hair, Makeup & Grooming
☐ Bring a translucent or skin-tone powder for touch-ups. Studio lighting tends to highlight natural skin shine, even for people who do not normally wear makeup.
☐ I will have a translucent powder available, but if you have specific preferences for color, finish, or ingredients, please bring your own.
☐ Bring any makeup, hair products, or styling tools you may want for touch-ups during the session
☐ Bring lip balm, especially if your photos will include close-up portraits
☐ If you wear glasses regularly, clean them before the shoot and consider bringing a microfiber cloth
Day of the Shoot
☐ Eat a meal or snack beforehand and stay hydrated
☐ Bring water, especially for longer sessions
☐ Put your phone on silent during the shoot if possible
